Account Creations Info   

When entering Credit card cust in users.db and the action fails DO NOT RESUBMIT save (print) and notify Rick Harby.

Account creation stalled  

open up a tictket to tech request to get it taken care of. actionman no longer handles it.

Billing Changes

If you need to change any cust. billing or status in any way, send an email to billing@eznet.net. They are not automatically notified or flagged when these changes are made in Users, so they need you to notify them. During office hours, you can transfeer the customer to billing.

Deactivation of Credit card or invoce customers

When deactivating a customer remember that  it is paid by credit card or invoice the deact date will be the anniversary date of the nearest month. All payments are for FULL months.

Deactivation of ESL cusotmers

If it is ESL the deact date is the last day of the current month and set it as such. Make sure to tell the customer that they will have one more deduction for that month.

Deactivation of invoice customers and billing notification

Billings requires that if we deactivate any Invoice customers, we email them at
billing@eznet.net the info so that they will stop the billing process.

ESL cancelations   

The cancelling of ESL customers works a little differently than the cancelling of other customers. ESL customers do not pay in advance, and they do not pay based on their sign up date.
The way in which the cancellation of ESL is different is the following:
--Regardless of their sign-up date or when they call, their account will be active until the end of the current month.
--The pending deactivation date needs to be changed from the automatic date to the last date of the month.
--The customer needs to be told that the deduction from their ESL account at the end of the current month will be the last deduction.

HOMEPAGE list                    

We can add users to the Homepage List from within users.db just "Edit user info" Account Information you'll see a field for Homepage List (Do N0t Use) in this field enter the info requested by the user i.e. jdoes homepage

Shell use

New users are setup as virtual users and have no shell. If they want shell a tech request must be made. If one of these new customers call and want a mail forward setup you will have to open the new mail interface.

Signup special

  1. Marchese: When you sign up a sign up special from Marchese (first 3 months for the price of 2), please put $20.00 in the credit field. 
  2. "your video".. MUST fax the sign ups to us for them to be entered. 
  3. "Tirk internet": Need the account set up. need to put $20 in amount, bill monthly. The company is "tirks internet service-users" , put in the company line.
    Users who sign up through Tirk get the standard eznet setup..they may request specific email settings, they need to contact their email servers administrator
  4. Computer House (Main St., Roch.) similar to the one with Soyata. If someone from the Computer House calls to sign up a dial up account, enter it into the system and give them the $50.00 for the first quarter discount. (60 quarterly, 10 credit)
  5. Gift Certificates: sign them up as quarterly billing, $60 per quarter. Have them sign the certificate and put their user name on the certificate and mail it as the payment for this account to our snail mail addy:

Users.db

Use the new users.db for all creations. Don't use the web for ESL singups, all entries can be done in users.db. Credit card customers will be charged real time, it should take around 30 to 60 sec for the card to be approved or declined. If you encounter errors with the sys. (other then declined) attempt the charge again, then change the info to invoice (saving the cc info) and submit again.
